It was the most important day of his life. Of her life, too. This selfless couple evoked a calmness and a joy on their wedding day that we won't soon forget. As the raindrops fell in the quaint town of Brevard, North Carolina, their dispositions didn't. They were drinking in the quiet moments; soaking up every last morsel of the day. As photographers, we were granted intimate access to the unraveling of events. One thing that we can't get out of our minds was the bright, colorful stack of cards Travis carried around during the reception at the beautiful Porter Center. Oh yes, he gave his beautiful bride, his new wife, all the attention she would ever dream of. And yet, we would catch glimpses of him taking a brief moment to hand deliver a tiny colorful gift. She would even retrieve her own special pink gift at the appointed time. Who would be next? Why were they chosen? We would never really know. Or would we? As the evening drew to a close, we were astonished when we got to leave the reception hall that night with our own little pink gift. The gift of words. Beautiful, heartfelt words of gratitude for the part we shared in making their day a special one. That selfless act left us speechless. After eight hours of being on our feet, those words penetrated our hearts deeply. We couldn't have been more happy to have been a part of their special day.
Travis & Bethany, words fail us when we try to tell you how much you two mean to us. The few times we spent together kept cementing our bond. Your wedding day was such a special one. It was dignified and romantic. Bethany, you were a stunning bride. You somehow both managed to make us feel special, as we were focused on seizing a treasure trove of photographs as the day unfolded. Your bridal party was attentive & responsive to our every request. Our thanks go to them too for their kind cooperation. Although there are scores & scores of beautiful images waiting for you in your gallery, here is a glimpse of a few of our favorites. We love you. -Chelsy & John, of Willow & Oak Photography
