What a sweetheart!  This recent college graduate was all smiles when we met her in downtown Deland.  She had finally done it!  She graduated with honors from FAMU College of Law!  But this beauty had already graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies with a specialization certificate in Litigation and Advocacy.  No wonder she wanted to celebrate her accomplishments with a professional photo shoot!  She chose to go back to school to study criminal defense, and is now an attorney!   When we asked her about it, she said:  "I chose criminal defense because I wanted to be an active member in the community who can provide compassion, humanity, and justice while using the law to change society for the better."  Once you meet her, you can quickly see that she is someone who is compassionate.  Alexis was a joy from the second we spoke with her on the phone!  Her Mom, Alma, stopped by midway through the photoshoot and was beaming with pride.  So was her brother Antonio.  (We love that all of their names started with 'A'!).  

She was open to our ideas and had great ones of her own.  The gorgeous fresh flowers, the champagne, and the champagne confetti all made for great props during the shoot.  Without question we could tell her well-used college books felt comfortable in her arms!  But she is used to carrying books, because she's already a published author and she's worked at a criminal defense law firm who has worked on high profile cases!  We may have loved shooting her with these books the most.
