This was a destination engagement photo session in North Carolina.  (One of our favorite states, to be sure.). What could be better than driving to one of our favorite states, to be with two of our favorite people?  Not much.  This session was a few years ago.  Six years ago to be exact.  Sometimes it can be great fun to go back and completely re-edit a session.  Musings of the mind:  Will we pick the same photos as favorites?  (Sometimes, but we always find new favorites too!!)  How has our editing changed? (Immensely!)  Do we see growth in how we see light?  (Absolutely.)  

For this session, we decided to do an entire blog post with black & white photography.  We love it.  One day, I was walking around our home (we delve deep into all things interior design too) and I was like:  I don't have one color photo hanging in our home!  We only have black and white photos!  Why?  Because they create a sophisticated, timeless, classic feel to a space.  We are drawn to it.  So, we decided we are going to feature more black and white photography.  After all, it's what we love.

Travis & Bethany, we love and miss you both.. more than you know!!  Someday, we will get to be together again.  Our hope is real.  The future is bright.  Until then, stay safe, and take care dear friends.  Never forget you hold a large space in our hearts.
